reaction to the chapter9 10

I read chapter9 and 10, I thought much of my experience that transfer from other university. This experience was run a not small risk, because if I fail the examination of ICU, I have to search my new goal not as a university student. I studied economics in my previous university, but that was regretful way because I hardly think about my future. So, I have little intention toward economics, I can not set my mind be willing to study in previous university, also I want to try entrance examination again.
 At my first sophomore year, I started to search about university, and also my future. University research was very effective to me, and I made up my mind that most adjustable university is may be International Christian University. It is because I can select the major besides studying. And the ELP has good reputation, I want to reinforce my English, and My cousin’s recommendation, I decided to set ICU as a short term goal. On the other hand, my future, the answer doesn’t come up. But at least, I can’t stand on previous university to study the department that not interesting. I justified the risk, because if I made it, consequence is not bad. I suspended student’s right, after that, I quit previous university to set my mind more solid I thought If I fail the exam, I’m going to work. Anyway I was tried hard. Now I thought my decision. Taking the risk is not bad because I could get the opportunity to look on myself thanks to this experience.
 Chapter 10, about creativity, most important thing is not stick to mental block, more specifically, a fixed idea. I also impressed phrase “having an optimistic outlook does not mean creating rosy, unrealistic expectations of smooth sailing. Optimism at the Edge means believing that somehow, someway, the team will succeed-in the long run. In the short run, however, problems are inevitable.”
This sentence encouraged me a lot. This sentence not justified the problem but simply strengthen the long term goal!

Chapter14 reflection

I have done the short P&D based on the chapter14,. First, I strongly presented that in this case, the most serial problem is not financial affair, but luck of confidence of company members. So that, Creighton, the leader have to make effort. Especially, I strongly pointed out three points. First, to change the worker’s mind, Creighton made his workers to know about company’s condition. More specifically, it means all workers expect to know about theirs company’s financial condition and reputation. This is effective because sense of crisis is easily get from that, and also effective to foster the responsibility. Second, to create “ONE” company, Creighton made the metaphor. At first, I was doubted about this action because it is too commonplace. However, in large size of the people, this kind of symbol has big meaning, more specifically it became inner reasoning to get together. Black canoe is perfect selection because canoe can’t manipulate oneself and need to cooperate each. I was very impressed it. Third, Creighton try to minimize status difference between staff and line, black and white, and men and women. Through these changes, I thought that most important change is company come to know individuals, at same time, individuals come to know company.
